You can purchase tickets on our website, in-person at our box office, or over the phone. The service fees (if applicable) are the same regardless of method of purchase.

You must be 18 years of age (unless otherwise specified) to enter and 21 years of age to purchase and consume alcohol. You will need to show photo identification to enter our club. Valid forms of ID are:

  • State issued Driver’s License
  • State issued ID
  • Official Passport
  • Military ID

Our showroom is open seating on a first come, first served basis. Since we cannot guarantee ticket availability at the door, we highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. We do not hold seats or tickets. Once tickets are sold out, we maintain a wait list at our Box Office on a first come, first served basis. Please note that the wait list does not guarantee seating. Through our Group and/or VIP Services, you have the option to reserve seating and enjoy front-of-the-line access.


Show times vary, so please see our online calendar Doors for most weekday shows open 30 minutes prior to the start of the show. Friday through Sunday, doors open 90 minutes prior to show time for dinner guests.

With a full-service restaurant and theater, our venue is more upscale than your average comedy club. Anything from casual (sneakers and jeans) to black tie is acceptable, however hats and other items that may be distracting to others in the showroom are not recommended. Please refrain from wearing tank tops, sleeveless shirts (for men) or biker-style gear.

Complimentary parking is conveniently located in the parking structure across the street. There is valet behind the Yardhouse restaurant, but they are not affiliated with the Improv, and will come at an additional cost.

While there is no set time limit, our shows typically run 90 minutes long, and consist of a host, a feature performer, and a headliner. Come to the club ready to laugh and have a good time!

Our venue seats up to 525 guests.

Yes there is! Just show your state-issued photo ID at our box office and we can print your tickets for you, free of charge.  You can also present your mobile ticket / passport on your cell phone at the door.

Yes, gift cards are available in any denomination, never expire, and can be used at any of our Improv venues (Irvine, CA; Brea, CA; Ontario, CA; Hollywood, CA; San Jose, CA and Pittsburgh, PA)! Gift cards are available for purchases online, by visiting our Box Office or by calling (845) 353-5400. We can also ship gift cards purchased over the phone (shipping & handling fees apply).

No we do not offer an open mic night.

There are TONS of ways!  Check us out on @BreaImprov, and for the latest news, or click and enter your email address in the white box in the banner (on the website) for a chance to win complimentary passes. You can also join our text program by texting the word “BREAVIP” to 82257. We also invite you to participate in our “Birthday Club” by adding your birthday at the time of your ticket purchase. This makes you eligible for prizes and drawings during your birthday month.

Unfortunately, we do not mail tickets, however you are welcome to pick up your tickets by showing photo ID at our Box Office any time prior to your show. In some cases, our box office can also e-mail your purchased tickets to print at your convenience. (Please note that most promotional tickets must be picked up at the box office window with the promotional materials in exchange for admission tickets and therefore cannot be emailed).  You can always add your mobile tickets to your cell phone / passport and present it at the door!

Yes. We accept all major credit cards through our box office and in our showroom, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Guests are allowed into our showroom until 30 minutes after the show begins. We stop seating after a half hour due to the disruption caused to the performers. No exceptions, no refunds.

We are handicap accessible. If needed, please notify the Box Office in advance so that we can arrange for proper seating as well.

Yes. Comedy is incredibly subjective. We do our best to include videos and current information about the comedian on our website. We recommend watching clips of past performances and reading the headliner’s biography to get a sense of the kind of performance and subject matter you should expect.

Photography, filming, videotaping or other forms of recording without the consent of the club and the artist is strictly prohibited. Guests who abuse this policy will be ejected immediately. We do occasionally offer the opportunity for “Meet and Greets” with the performers after the show, where photography is allowed.

The majority of seating is done on a first come, first sat basis.  We do however offer PREFERRED or RESERVED seating if you have purchased a GROUP PACKAGE or VIP PACKAGE. We typically seat the room from the front to the back. The majority of the tables in the showroom seat 4 per table.  We do have a limited number of bench-style seating which fit 4-5 people.  We are capable of accommodating large parties through our Event Coordinator; just inquire through our website in advance. We ask that you arrive early in order to guarantee optimal seating arrangements. You may view our seating chart and take a virtual tour of our showroom on our website.

Arrangements can be made via the Event Coordinator with a GROUP PACKAGE or VIP PACKAGE to have PREFERRED or RESERVED seating.

For our earlier shows, we typically offer the option to make a dinner reservation. This is not the same thing as “reserved” or “VIP” seating. There is no additional cost for dinner reservations and this allows you to enter our showroom for dinner up to 90 minutes prior to show time. Those without dinner reservations, in General Admission, are allowed to enter up to 45 minutes prior to the show. Please note your dinner reservation when purchasing your tickets online or contact our Box Office to add or remove this to your admission tickets.

The items you purchase during your dinner count toward the two-item minimum per person requirement.  Food, beverages, or a combination, each count toward this minimum. For most “Special Engagement” shows, there may be VIP dinner packages or other options available through our Event Coordinator.

Your table and server during your dinner reservation remain the same throughout the entire show.

We do our best to offer of variety of options on our regular menu that accommodate various diets & food allergies. With advance notice we are typically able to accommodate additional food allergy or specialty requests. There are also specific Dinner Packages available through our Event Coordinator. Please contact our Box Office or Event Coordinator for more information PRIOR to the date of the show you are attending so our executive chef can properly accommodate your request.

No. Any food item or beverage (with or without alcohol) counts towards the two-item minimum. We offer a variety of non-alcoholic beverages for our underage and non-alcohol consuming customers. We also offer souvenir items such as glassware and t-shirts as well. Take a tour of our and we guarantee you will find something to your liking.

Our experienced mixologists are always ready to make your drink of choice with options on top shelf liquors. Check out our for more information on the variety of specialty drinks we offer as well.

We are always looking for new and experienced talent, including cooks, busses, hosts, servers, bartenders, etc. We encourage you to come see us to submit a resume and fill out an application!  We also conduct open interviews (no appointment necessary) on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm.

No oversized bags or backpacks are allowed. All bags are subject to search upon entry. Guest have the right to refuse a bag search and the venue has the right to refuse entry.
