Comedian Tammy Pescatelli is the kind of woman you wish was your sister or your best friend. Like a good sister, she‘s always ready with a good joke or lively quip. Pescatelli grew up in a large, crazy, Italian family outside of Cleveland and went on to marry into an even larger, crazier, Italian family and has a little boy that she named after her husband-’just to prepare for Alzheimer’s!”
When people ask her – “Where do you get your material?” She famously replies, “I wake up!”
Her most recent 1 hour special, “Finding the Funny” was released recently in an exclusive deal with the trailblazing company, NETLFIX. Pescatelli’s eye for actually finding the funny in all situations, is what is already bringing the project critical acclaim from fans and peers alike. “Finding The Funny” reached #3 on ITunes. Her reality series, A Stand Up Mother (which she co-created, executive produced, wrote and starred in) on WEtv, documented her life as she balanced her family and her growing career with a lot of laughs.
Being one of the Final Five on NBC‘s “Last Comic Standing 2“ catapulted Pescatelli’s career and won her a slew of new fans, solidifying her as one of the sharpest women in the comedy world. She was recently chosen by Jenny McCarthy’s to be part of her “Dirty, Sexy Funny” comedy special that aired on Epix on February 14th. She is currently touring around the country with “Dirty, Sexy, Funny” and was recently on “The View.” She also appeared on Howard Stern.
Pescatelli won “Comedy Central‘s 2010 Stand-Up Showdown” and has appeared as a guest on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” several times. She recently appeared on “The View,” was also part of Fuel Tv’s Redbull Roast for professional wakeboarder Parxx Bonifay, on BRAVO TV’s “Rocco’s Dinner Party,” CBS’s “The Talk,” Nickeloden’s “NICK Mom’s Night Out,” TVGuide’s “Stand-up in Stilettos,” The Artie Lange show, Opie and Anthony, NBC‘s “Last Comic Standing: The Best of the Best,” Comedy Central‘s “The World Stands Up, The Bonnie Hunt Show,” “TBS‘s Evening at the Laugh Factory,” “Last Call with Carson Daly,” and “Comics Unleashed.” She has made numerous appearance on the CBC’s hit show “The Debater’s” as well as the “Jerry Lewis Telethon” and was chosen for their “Best of the Best“ worldwide top selling DVD! Tammy has also made more than 100+appearances on “talking head” shows on VH1, CMT, MTV, E!, A&E, REELS, TVGuide and many more and had her own “Comedy Central Presents.”
She was also featured weekly as part of the “Fashion Police” panel for US Weekly. She gave the pros a run for their money in the poker department and participated in the GSN poker series “Poker Royale: Comedians vs. Pros.” She finished in second place after beating all of the comedians and all of the pro’s but one. A regular on USO Comedy tours, Tammy has entertained our troops all over the world.
She co-stars in the sleeper hit “Everybody Wants to Be Italian,” “Single,” and in the award winning indie film “Made in Brooklyn.”
On her previous album, IT IS WHAT IT IS, she used every bit of her experience to make us laugh about family, religion, and even politics (her sister-in-law thinks Al Qaeda is a guy from the neighborhood.)
Tammy currently tours the country promoting her latest comedy DVD, “Finding the Funny.”
When Tiffany Haddish walks into a room you know she is someone not to be reckoned with. In a mere few minutes you will be laughing so hard you will be crying, and then you might even cry when you hear how she got to this phenomenal point in her journey both on and off stage.
It is a testament that the one person she credits her success to is her social worker which in itself says it all. Growing up in foster care in South Central Los Angeles, it was her excessive talking and imaginary friends that prompted her increasingly flustered social worker to steer her into standup comedy by enrolling her into the Laugh Factory Comedy Camp for children. When she returned and was placed with a white family in the valley, she thought her new classmates, who were also Caucasian, were celebrities from television. She even asked them for their autograph. Growing up in South Central, the only race of people she saw on television were white.
Next year, Haddish returns to her co-starring role on the NBC comedy The Carmichael Show, alongside the show’s creator and star, Jerrod Carmichael. Tiffany “Nakeisha,” the outspoken, no-nonsense character. The Carmichael Show premiered earlier this year to rave reviews and was the most-watched summer comedy on the Big 4 networks over the past eight years, capturing 4.7 million viewers. In addition, she will star alongside Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Nia Long in the feature film, Keanu, set for a April 22nd 2016 release. Tiffany also has a recurring role on the Tyler Perry’s soap opera, “If Loving You Is Wrong,” an OWN series.
Today, Tiffany tours all over the world bringing her edge, unusual take on life and love and tons of laughter, introducing herself by announcing “She Ready” & “The Last Black Unicorn”. Haddish’s comedy has landed her on Jenny McCarthy’s Dirty Sexy Funny comedy tour. She has made appearances on the Tonight Show, Chelsea Latelyand theArsenio Hall Show. Haddish was an early stand out since appearing on HBO's Def Comedy Jam, Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes? for TV One and on Comedy Central's Reality Bites.
Not only is she a comedian, she has proven to be an unparalleled actress appearing in such diverse projects as the film comedy Meet the Spartans and the Lifetime drama Racing for Time, where she played a lead role opposite Charles S. Dutton and opposite Ice Cube in The Janky Promoters. Haddish debuted as Denise, a drug abusing woman dealing with social issues on Lifetime’s Racing for Time. Her television credits include Kevin Hart’s BET show Real Husbands of Hollywood and FOX’s New Girl.
Tiffany's comedy has given her a platform to travel the world. She recently returned from performing on the USO Comedy Tour in Japan for United States troops. She is always touring various comedy clubs and colleges across the country. One of her special passions is performing in a comedy show Chuckles Not Knuckles, a program she developed for inner city high school students that promotes nonviolence.
Haddish sees herself as sexy as Halle Berry, as funny as Jim Carrey, raw like Richard Pryor with the comedic timing of Lucille Ball, smooth like Eddie Murphy, Jewish as Whoopi Goldberg, and hopes to someday have money like Oprah.
Paula’s performances are hysterically dark... Her voice and delivery are undeniably strong and crass, not your average female or comic. It’s the unexpected truths along with her delivery that are hilarious. You might’ve seen her on “Last Comic Standing” giving hell to the judges or her recent comedic appearances on Nick@Nite and TV Guide network bashing pregnant teens and reality shows. Not one adverse to writing or performing “blue comedy” she’s appeared on Showtime’s Full Frontal Comedy and HBO’s Las Vegas Comedy Festival. Paula’s talented stand-up delivery had her headlining on the 2012 “Just for Laughs” Montreal Festival Nasty Show as well as the off-season “clean” tours throughout Canada. As a successful crossover act, Paula has recently taped BET 2013. Her numerous credits also include 'The View" and "Comics Unleashed."
Only six years into her stand-up career, she performed on “The Tonight Show.” Headlining in clubs across the country, Paula’s numerous television appearances and writing style make her one of the most unique female comics performing today.
